At HERA ENGINEERING, we are looking for a full time (with 38 hours per week) skilled Structural Engineer to perform the following duties:Responsibilities
- Managing your workload with the Managing Director and Engineering Manger to monitor and discuss deadlines for new and existing projects.
- You will be responsible for managing the deadlines assigned to you.
- You will need to be fully across all your projects and workload resources to do not over-commit. This will require a high level of leadership skills, delegation and being well organized; organizing yours work tasks with clear deadlines.
- You will need to demonstrate your ability to lead or work in a team toward an agreed deadline. To achieve this, you will need to demonstrate organization skills; continuously planning resources as the week evolve and constant monitor of your time to ensure that you are achieving established deadlines.
- Shall you realized that you cannot achieved a deadline you must discuss this with the Engineering Manager; work within a team to produce quality designs from the concept to a detailed level.
- You will be responsible for the managing of drafters.
- You will report directly to the Project Leader;
- Discuss with the Managing Director or Engineering Manger any issue that you might have;
- Familiarize with key Australian Standards such as: AS1170, AS3600, AS4100, AS3700;
- Ability to create a high efficient schematic design which is simply to build and in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards
- Constructability must always be considered in any design.
- Carry out with minimum supervision detailed design of buildings, temporary works, industrial steel structures and other miscellaneous structural systems.
- This will include creation of structural models and hand calculations.
- The right candidate will have at least 2 years of experience
- Attention to details is paramount;
Salary: $70,000 - 100,000 per year
