Structural Engineer

DALLCON, a family-owned precast company situated in the Wheatbelt town of Dalwallinu, actively engages in supplying the Civil, Mining, and Commercial sectors across Australia.

Due to the continued growth within Dallcon, we are currently recruiting for Structural Engineer with previous Civil and Structural experience. Reporting to the Project Managers / Quality Manager you will be primarily responsible for designing and carrying out structural design checks on precast concrete, along with assisting the project team in all day-to-day operations. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Producing structural calculations and check on precast items. 
• Monitor and assign workload to Draftsperson
• Review fabrication drawings from Draftsperson to ensure drawings meet the clients requirements. 
• Assisting Quality Manager to ensure precast concrete is as per the project specification. 
• Assess constructability of designs and streamline processes. 
• The role requires a minimum of Two days per week in our Dalwallinu office, and remaining days of the week in Perth office. 

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Minimum bachelor's degree in civil and Structural Engineering 
• Previous consultancy experience is highly regarded.
• Able to work under pressure and the ability to multitask. 
• Flexibility to work with tradesman to achieve most efficient design is carried out. 
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience in consultancy or similar role.
