Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in Northwest Queensland and Western Australia.
Job Description
Aquila Mine has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Officer to join the team on a permanent basis, based in Middlemount QLD.
Are you ready to take on a vital role in the heart of our mining operations? As a Supply Officer reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in our warehouse. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and success of our mine sites.
As a Supply Officer, you will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including:
- Managing inventory and tracking assets used across our mine sites.
- Receipting, storing, and maintaining safe custody of the Company's valuable assets.
- Efficiently issuing and distributing assets where needed.
- Maintaining an organized and tidy warehouse to ensure asset security and enable accurate stocktaking.
- Possess a Forklift ticket for safe and efficient handling of materials.
- Hold previous experience in a warehouse/procurement environment within the Mining industry.
- Formal qualifications in Transport and Distribution (Warehousing and Storage), Logistics, or Material Operations will be highly regarded.
- Hold a Manual HR/MR Class Driver's License to ensure smooth transportation within the warehouse and mine sites (desirable).
- Proficiency using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably SAP, to enhance operational effectiveness (desirable).
- Full-time permanent position based at Aquila Mine, Middlemount
