The Role
We are looking for a Support Engineer to be embedded onsite with our client, a K-12 school. As a Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing fault resolution, escalation, and maintenance services to the school. Supporting them onsite you will install and maintain computer hardware, software and networks. Using your exceptional ability to develop relationships across all levels of an organisation, you'll provide support across a wide range of platforms and technologies.
Previous experience in an MSP environment and vendor certifications (Cisco, VMWare or Microsoft) will be highly regarded as will experience with the education sector.
What you'll do:
- Provide exceptional customer service at the location you are in
- Fault escalation and resolution. Own the outcome
- Configure, deploy and administer LAN, WAN, security and remote access technologies
- Support your customers with a wide variety of platforms and technologies
- Build and configure desktops, servers and storage networking hardware
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Practical experience with Microsoft Desktop and Server (Windows 10, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra and Exchange)
- Exposure to virtualisation technology (VMware)
- Experience in typical networking technology (LAN Switching, Wi-Fi, Routing and Edge Firewall)
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, Office 365 experience will be highly regarded
