About the opportunity
We are seeking a permanent, part-time Support Officer to join our busy and expanding City Transport team. This role will provide clerical services to support the effective and efficient operations of the team. We are looking for someone who values a great work / life balance, as the position only requires attendance in office from Monday - Thursday in mornings.
An ideal candidate will be personable, energetic, full of ideas to improve systems and processes and love serving the community.
You will be responsible for:
- Correspondence, reports, agendas, minutes and general administrative tasks
- Interaction with customers and stakeholders
- Preparation of reports, minutes, agendas and correspondence related to the operation of the Local Traffic Committee
- Supporting team members with administrative tasks
- Other secretarial or clerical support as directed by the Manager City Transport.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent
- Minimum 12 months relevant work experience
- Demonstrated experience using computer software programs including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Proficient in taking meeting minutes
- Current class C driver's licence.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,265.47 pro-rata per week
- 17.5 hours per week
