About the Position:
The Sustainable Officer will deliver the City of Bayswater’s sustainability program. Responsibilities include climate change adaptation and delivering energy and water use reduction initiatives. Fundamental to this it the ability to collaborate with the community, staff and government organisations to develop effective environmental policies. To be successful in this role you will have proven ability to create, collaborate and contribute to a high performing team with developed research and analytical skills as well as excellent written communication skills with the ability to influence a range of audiences.
About the Person:
The successful person will have previous experience in a sustainability role or delivery of similar operational role. We are looking for someone who has an understanding and passion for researching, implementing and educating on sustainability and climate change. In addition to demonstrating excellent oral, written and electronic skills, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate the ability to deliver work within tight deadlines and within budget, have developed time management and organisational skills, and the ability to meet competing priorities. Customer service skills is also desirable for this position. The successful candidate should possess highly developed customer service and conflict resolution skills.
It is imperative that you hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Public Administration, Policy or Urban, Regional Planning and a current Working with Children Check.
