The role

System Support

Looking for a dynamic role where you tackle IT challenges head-on, collaborate with a global team, and help shape the future of a leading gold mining company?  Look no further than the Agnico Eagle Australia IT Team!

Your duties:

• Provide Level 2 Support: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues for our applications and infrastructure. 
• Produce policy, technical documents and knowledge bases: Collaborate with the Application Lead to craft policies, standards, and procedures that keep our IT world running smoothly. 
• Projects: Juggle both routine support (BAU) and exciting project work with key stakeholders. Keep things ticking and drive new initiatives forward.
• On Call emergency support: Join our On-Call Emergency Support roster for regional and global operations when they need you most.
• Support Australian operations: Occasional travel within Australia may be required, consider it your chance to see the country while putting your skills to good use.
• Collaborate with other IT functions to ensure servers meet business demands.
• Build and maintain end user application packaging.

The successful candidate should possess the following:

• Experience in an ITIL environment
• Extensive application support experience
• Demonstrated experience in customer service in a software or technician environment
• Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information
• Understanding of IP, TCP/IP and other network admin protocols
• Knowledge of / experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Server 2019 and Virtual Infrastructure (VMWare)

If you have mining, manufacturing or Asset Intensive industry experience that would be a bonus.

• You're process driven and thorough but can be agile and adaptable as required.
• You have good analytical and problem solving skills.
• You're a great communicator, and can interact well with all stakeholders and end users across multi disciplinary teams.
• You are curious and research software development and delivery.
• You have an eye for detail.

The role is based in Bendigo, you'll be home every night and weekend to spend with your family and friends, working a Monday to Friday 40 hours per week (5/2) roster (plus reasonable additional hours if required).  We also offer flexibility with a 5/2, 4/3 roster if that's for you.
