About The Role
Thiess is seeking a Systems Accountant to join our Finance team based in our Head Office in South Bank, Brisbane. In this vital position, you will be responsible for reporting and analysing Thiess' financial and management results, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring precision and completeness in every detail. By conducting thorough analyses and reviews, you will contribute to informed decision-making processes and facilitate cost-effective strategies within the organisation. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health and efficiency of our operations.
Additionally, you will:
Produce and analyse monthly performance reporting for the BU.
Support the business planning, budgeting and forecasting cycle to produce quality financial planning and analysis.
Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, including process mapping and systems implementation.
Partner with the business units to develop key interfaces between corporate and BU finance.
Identify trends, monitor variances, and recommend actions to management.
About You
The successful candidate has a track record of developing and preparing diverse dashboards aimed at providing stakeholders with clear insights into their financials, facilitating informed decision-making. You excel in managing interfaces between various financial systems, ensuring seamless data flow and integrity across platforms. With a focus on collaborative process development or review, you bring strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to the table, adept at troubleshooting and resolving finance-related system issues promptly.
Additionally, you have:
Experience with finance ERP systems
Developed and prepared various dashboards to assist stakeholders to better understand their financials
Managed interfaces between different financial systems to ensure smooth data flow
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in finance processes, including process mapping and systems implementation
Experience in Hyperion, Oracle BI and/or JDE is highly regarded
