Systems Accountant (Qld)

LMS Energy is Australia’s largest emissions reducer and the national leader in biogas-to-energy and solar on landfill. LMS requires the services of a part-time or full-time Systems Accountant in Yatala or Brisbane CBD, Queensland. 

As part of our team, you will collaborate with the Coordinator – Systems Accounting where your role will primarily involve analysing, enhancing, and automating financial systems, with a focus on platforms such as TechnologyOne, ELMO, Maximo, and ExpenseMe Pro. Your goal will be to continuously improve efficiency and promptly address any issues that arise. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance team across different functions, serving as the liaison between Finance and IT.

Responsibilities:

• Provide systems administration, analysis, automation, and user management of Technology One, Maximo, and ExpenseMe Pro systems, as well as perform system changes and developments and review their impact on the business and implement necessary changes. 
• Drive and manage the implementation of process improvements to maximise capability of the ERP system. 
• Provide guidance with the end-to-end financial processes that impact finance and the broader business. 
• Perform troubleshooting and resolve any problems promptly.  
• Educate other business groups on best-practice use of financial systems. 

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or equivalent Finance/Industry experience  
• Qualification with an Australian professional accounting body such as CA or CPA (desirable)  
• 2+ years’ prior experience in a Systems Accountant role 
• Experience with TechnologyOne (preferred), Maximo, ELMO, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP or Oracle NetSuite advantageous 
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team  
• Australian Drivers Licence
