Penrith City Council is the largest local government childcare service provider in NSW, with more than 53 childcare services annually catering for 5,000 children. Penrith City Council People and Culture department is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist, to join our dynamic HR team. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a crucial role in attracting, assessing, hiring and retaining talented Childcare Educators who will contribute to the success and growth of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent for Children Services
• Manage the recruitment process, from sourcing and screening to interviewing and offer stage.
• Ensure a positive applicant experience by implementing efficient and transparent processes to ensure rapport is built to maintain lasting relationships.
• Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to promote Children Services as an employer of choice.
• Review sourcing channel effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
• Regularly review the effectiveness of the recruitment and selection process and initiatives and recommend/develop areas for improvement.
• Develop talent pipelines and communicate regularly and maintain relationships with talent pools.
• Provide advice, support and educate People Leaders on screening, interviewing and merit base selecting appropriate talent.
• Manage the recruitment and promotion of the Children Services traineeship program.
• Market Children Services to neighboring high schools to infiltrate Work Experience initiatives and future talent pool for traineeship program.
• Seek out and attend all relevant Career Expos to promote Children Services.
• Utilise recruitment metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
• Prepare regular reports on recruitment activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Essential criteria

• Completed or close to completion of a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Ability to Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable criteria

• Previous experience within Childcare or Early Education
• Experience in using Page Up Recruitment System

Commencing salary: $87,017.00 to $100,725.00 per annum, plus 11% Superannuation.
