Cochlear has an opportunity for a full-time Campus Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist based in our Macquarie, Sydney Global HQ.In this role you will primarily lead and deliver the Cochlear Summer Internship recruitment program for 3rd year students (predominantly Engineering students) as well as the Graduate Recruitment program that follows as our Summer Internship student finalise their studies. You will be a critical contributor to building Cochlear’s talent pipeline for future leadership and expert roles.While Campus Recruitment initiatives are off peak the successful candidate for this role will also work closely with different line managers to fill open professional roles at different departments across Cochlear. - Manage end-to-end recruitment of Cochlear’s Summer Student Internship Program and Graduate program
- Provide ongoing management for post-recruitment structured activities related to Cochlear’s Early Careers programs (including Graduate rotations and development programs)
- Provide regular updates for leadership, managers (HMs) and business partnering teams, ensuring overall quality of hire
- Build external network/relationships with target tertiary institutions, academic & student communities
- Act as a liaison for 3rd party requests for support with philanthropic endeavours
- Coordinate Cochlear’s participation in careers fairs and on-campus events, advocating company values and positioning Cochlear as an employer of choice.
- Act as a presenter or MC at Cochlear events as required.
- Support recruitment administration and reporting requirements
- Effectively manage end to end recruitment activities across different functions.
- Recommend to hiring managers relevant resources, techniques and selection criteria for interviewing, assessing, and evaluating applicants for suitability.
- Facilitate the hiring team de-brief meetings; provide consultative advice on selection and evaluation ensuring consistent application of the selection criteria is complete and in line with local legislation.
- Provide appropriate feedback throughout the interview and selection process to advise and influence hiring managers, ensuring an overall effective hire;
- Handle candidate and current employee data within Cochlear policy and local Privacy law requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability to project manage, plan workflow, work independently and take initiative in a dynamic, fast-paced service-oriented global environment.
- High customer-centricity with the ability to build trust and engage with a range of senior stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Track record (ideally 2 years) in graduate recruitment (domestic & international).
- Robust working knowledge of Australian tertiary/academic systems.
- Excellent written/verbal presentation/facilitation skills.
- Strong affinity with the Cochlear mission and passion for Talent Acquisition.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Full working rights within Australia.
- Engineering graduate (all disciplines) with a passion for talent development
- Life Sciences industry recruitment experience
- Experience with Workday or other recruitment systems.
- Firsthand experience completing Summer internship/Graduate program
