About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist – Functions & Early Careers – Fixed Term Contract to join our Talent Acquisition team based at Flexi Location
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.
Your role will involve providing advice and guidance on Talent Acquisition across the business, and assisting line managers, employees, and external candidates in all aspects of the recruitment process
You will be hungry in understanding this landscape and have a deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of the graduates and interns we are trying to attract.
In short, you will be responsible for finding, attracting, and hiring the best and brightest graduates and interns to join our Company and help us achieve our build strategy.

Key responsibilities include:
- Develop relationships with internal stakeholders in order to understand resourcing profiles and subsequently plan for and deliver against the recruitment needs
- An ability and interest in working in a high volume and fast paced environment
- Develop and execute Internship & Graduate recruitment campaigns
- Provide exceptional candidate care by providing timely updates and feedback throughout the recruitment process
- Assist in the selection of the most appropriate applicants by participating in and applying consistent screening, interviewing and selection processes
- Ensure interview and selection panel members are familiar with recruitment processes, coach where necessary and ensure that processes are applied in a fair and equitable manner
- Experience recruiting across a number of different disciplines including: engineering, project management and professional services
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact, influence and negotiate as required
- Sound knowledge of employment processes and legislative requirements
- Professional and creative writing skills
- Customer service/ stakeholder management focused with the ability to build and maintain trusting and enduring relationships
- Excellent time management skills and a true sense of urgency coupled with an ability to multi task and manage conflicting priorities
- A high level of personal drive and determination with the ability to work autonomously but also collaboratively within a team environment
- An existing Australian Defence NV1 Security Clearance
