Halls Head College (HHC) is seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working Teacher - Arts - Dance to join their dynamic team.
The successful applicant should possess highly effective interpersonal skills, be student and relationship focused, innovative and motivated. They will ideally have an inclusive approach with strong teaching and classroom management skills and the ability to challenge and engage all students, promoting an environment of active and positive learning.
The successful applicant will ideally possess excellent communication skills and the capacity to work effectively as part of a team. You should engage in ongoing self-reflection and continually assess the effectiveness of their teaching practice. You will also ideally have experience in teaching a variety of dance genres, as well as a strong understanding of historical and cultural dances, and the Western Australian Dance Curriculum.
HHC is uniquely situated on the 'island' of Halls Head, just south of Mandurah. The local intake area is south, close to the Waroona Shire boundary, with the contributory primary schools of Glencoe, Halls Head, Falcon, South Halls Head and Ocean Road. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
