Cyril Jackson Senior Campus (SC) are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher - Design and Technology.
The successful applicant should be enthusiastic, creative and ideally have experience teaching Design Technology in the senior years of schooling, especially School Curriculum and Standards Authority courses. The successful applicant should work with a team approach to further develop a culture of excellence in the Design Technology teaching and learning program.
The successful applicant should possess highly effective interpersonal skills, be student and relationship focused, innovative and motivated. He or she should also have an inclusive approach with strong teaching and classroom management skills and the ability to challenge and engage all students, promoting an environment of active and positive learning.
The successful applicant will complete this appointment whilst a permanent teacher is on approved leave. The timetable that will be delivered includes Technical Graphics, Metalwork and Building and Construction.
Cyril Jackson SC offers a wide range of year 11 and year 12 courses. We have students of various ages who are working towards graduation or pursuing their interests, including tertiary aspirants. Most students are aged between 16 to 25 years old. The school also has an extensive Intensive English Centre (IEC) for students within this age range. The majority of students in the IEC program continue at Cyril Jackson SC in year 11 and year 12 courses.
Cyril Jackson SC offers an alternative to students who wish to study senior school courses in a mature learning environment with an ethos of strong support. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.
