About the Role
Hummingbird House is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospitality Team Leader to ensure the delivery of catering, cleaning, and in house laundry services. This multifaceted role involves leadership of the kitchen and housekeeping teams including managing rosters and maintaining service compliance as well as delivering hands-on operational support in the housekeeping team. The successful person will play a pivotal role in upholding high standards of operational excellence, while fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests and families.
The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience and organisational skills along with knowledge of catering and cleaning coupled with effective communication and interpersonal abilities, is essential. Experience in a health-related service would be advantageous, but not essential.
About You
Essential:
1. Demonstrated ability to lead a customer focused team in catering, cleaning and laundry services.
2. Demonstrated ability to work in a small-scale commercial kitchen/ experience in a Health Care environment will be well regarded.
3. Demonstrated compassion and respect for guests, families, colleagues and visitors.
4. NDIS Worker Screening Clearance held before commencing.
5. NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You completed before starting.
6. Proof of Vaccination Status as required by Legislation, Health Directives or WMQ Policy throughout employment and prior to commencement.
7. Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy
8. The ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion and professionalism ensuring that the dignity and rights of guests and families are respected at all times.
9. Proven high level teamwork and collaboration skills to achieve objectives and promote positive working relationships
10. Enthusiasm and highly effective interpersonal, and communication skills.
11. Strong personal and team based organisational skills, including the ability to coordinate successfully with volunteers, staff and other people with varied interests and backgrounds.
Desirable:
1. Experience working with families within a health setting and a commitment to the provision of family centred care.
2. Current Driver's Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work
