The Role
The applicant for this role will be someone that can provide effective leadership, write simple and comprehensive plans and provide development opportunities to the paraplanning team. The role will be responsible for team performance in accordance with agreed SLAs and ensure that work produced by the team meets defined quality standards.
As part of the Link Group Retirement and Super Solutions division, Link Advice prides itself on the quality of its advice, support and mature business model.
In partnership with some of Australia's largest Superannuation Funds, and with a focus on providing quality intra-fund advice, this role will have the opportunity to help educate Australians on how to make the most of their superannuation savings.
This is an ideal position for:
- Someone looking to move into management and share their experience with a diverse and enthusiastic team where member centric advice delivery is key to their daily routine enabling a better workplace and life balance.
- A person happy with a 70-80% on tools (Xplan) role
- Opportunity to work closely with an experienced group of financial advisers and paraplanners
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
- Writing and checking of intrafund and comprehensive Statements of Advice
- Responsible for maintaining a high performing team to ensure service levels are met and to prioritise and adapt work to align with organisational goals.
- Maintain effective communication to ensure that team members are kept up to date with any changes to procedures, legislation, or corporate issues.
- Manage team members and workflows to ensure that quality and service standards are met or exceeded
- Provide side-by-side coaching, ongoing support, development, training and mentoring to team members.
- Ensure that all paraplanners understand client specific plan provisions and current legislation
- Ensure all tasks within the team are performed in accordance with defined quality standards and the requirements of the Australian Financial Services Licence
Experience & Personal Attributes
- People leadership experience desirable but not required
- Passion for customer focus and best practice in all activities
- Attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong technical knowledge across key disciplines of financial advice
- Experience working with Xplan including XTOOLS+ and WealthSolver
- RG146 compliance with evidence of completed CPD is desirable but not required
- Experience with defined benefit funds desired, however, not essential
