Technical Sales Representative (Nec)

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Technical Sales Representative to join our team Full Time in Brisbane. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining effective communication with our supply teams in Ecuador and Colombia, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of the flower industry in these regions and proficiency in the local languages. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks, including contributing to supply strategy, assessing changing customer needs, ensuring client satisfaction and developing businesses prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate customers' needs in order to assess the product and services offering effectively.
• Monitor customers' changing needs, reporting these developments to sales management.
• Quote and negotiate prices and credit terms, complete contracts, and record orders.
• Arrange delivery of goods and provision of services.
• Report to sales management on sales made and the marketability of goods and services.
• Optimise supply operations but liaising challenges and identifying requirements with colleagues in Ecuador and Colombia
• Collaborate with colleagues in Ecuador and Colombia to develop custom supply solutions.
• Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction with goods and services purchased, resolving any problems arising.
• Prepare sales reports and maintain and submit records of business expenses incurred.
• Conduct market research to identify prospective clients.
• Acquire and update knowledge of supply opportunities and market conditions.
• Visit regular and prospective client businesses to establish and act on selling opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Technical Sales or a related field, preferably within the floral industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of the flower industry in South America, particularly Ecuador and Colombia.
• Proficiency in Spanish and/or other relevant languages spoken in these regions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Horticulture, or a related field preferred.
• You must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with full time work rights
