Willetton Senior High School is seeking a Technical Support Officer (Arts) for a permanent part – time position commencing Term 2, 2024.
As the Technical Support Officer (Arts), your role will include several key responsibilities. You will be required to prepare the classroom, studio, theatre, and workshop to ensure an optimal environment for effective instruction by teachers. This involves setting up the necessary equipment and resources to facilitate student learning.
Collaboration is essential as you'll work closely with production teams to assist in the smooth operation of various school and community events. This could include assemblies, performances, exhibitions, screenings, and promotional activities, where your technical expertise will be invaluable.
In the realm of arts workshops, classes, and productions, you'll play a crucial role in preparing specialized equipment and materials. Moreover, you'll provide operational guidance to ensure these activities run seamlessly, enhancing the overall experience for students and participants alike.
You will be required to work with set budgets, monitor expenditure and provide advice. This includes liaising with suppliers to negotiate prices, obtain quotes, and ensure a consistent supply of necessary resources. You will be required to assist with stock management, coordinating stocktake activities and maintaining accurate resource registers to support efficient operations.
Maintenance and evaluation are ongoing tasks as you'll be responsible for assessing technical equipment and resources. This includes arranging repairs and maintenance on all equipment. Documentation and compliance are also significant aspects of your role. You'll maintain thorough records for all equipment, machinery, and materials. Furthermore, you'll provide guidance on the correct and safe use, storage, and disposal of equipment, chemicals, and waste, prioritizing the well-being of all involved always ensuring adherence to occupational safety and health requirements.
