The opportunity
With our head office in Charlestown NSW, we have an amazing opportunity for a Technical Support Officer to join our Information Technology department by servicing our staff, carers, and young people. The role will report directly to the IT Manager and work within our support team responsible for the acquisition, provision, maintenance and support of the organisation’s computer hardware, software applications, network, security, and telecommunication resources. We have a wide range of technologies you can explore and learn and will encourage and support the successful candidate to seek ongoing training and certification to further their career.
Key activities of the role are to:
- Utilise our helpdesk logging system (Jira) to maintain, track, escalate and close jobs.
- Provide Technical Support for a diverse range of IT assets.
- Acquisition, provision, maintenance and support of the organisation’s computer hardware and software applications.
- Asset Management processes including provisioning and ordering hardware.
- Assist with the creation and delivery of cyber security awareness.
- Assist with the creation, maintenance of IT documentation, guides, and user training.
- Assist IT team members for special projects as required.
We are looking for a self-starter with strong communication skills to help us deliver an ongoing high standard of Technical Support.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a customer service or helpdesk environment.
- Tertiary level qualifications in IT or currently undertaking or willing to undertake.
- Strong knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Products including Office365.
- Strong customer service and communication skillsets.
- Ability to travel to Allambi Care Placements and other offices if required (NSW and VIC).
- Demonstrated experience with personal computers, peripheral devices, utilities, and operating systems in a network environment.

- Current NDIS Worker Check: (can be obtained via https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/ndiswc-apply)
- National Police Check (this must be obtained via https://www.employmentscreeninggroup.com/au/allambi/)
- A current driver’s licence
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- Certificate of Completion: NDIS Worker Orientation Module (can be accessed via: https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au/)
- Willingness to participate in pre-employment medical checks
