We are seeking casual Onsite Technical Support Staff to run the GalaBid fundraising platform at charity dinners and lunches. The work is typically done at weekends and in varied venues. Mostly hotel ballrooms, ideally suited to personable people looking for extra cash who enjoy live events and are reasonably proficient with technology.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and configure technical equipment (such as computers, tablets etc.) at fundraising event venues.
- Provide Technical support and troubleshooting assistance to event attendees and staff regarding our fundraising platform and related technologies.
- Assist event attendees with navigating our fundraising platform, and resolving any technical issues they may encounter.
- Communicate effectively with event organisers and staff to address technical concerns and ensure the success of fundraising events.
- Collaborate with the Technical support team to escalate and resolve technical issues as needed.
- Maintain organised documentation of technical setups, troubleshooting procedures, and event feedback for future reference and improvement.
- Be the face of Galabid at fundraising events.
Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support fundraising events as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure.
- Ability to work autonomously as an enthusiastic self-starter.
- Ability and confidence to engage with organisers, guests and volunteers.
- Proficiency in using computers, tablets, and other technical equipment; familiarity with fundraising software or platforms is a plus.
- Prior experience in Technical support, customer service, or event management roles is preferred.
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred.
