Verve Partners, in collaboration with our client, are currently seeking a Temp Management Accountant to join their team based in the stunning Nelson Bay.

The Position:
Working within a collaborative team, this position is primarily responsible for all rounded management accounting and providing support across the finance team for successful business operations.
Utilising your solid technical accounting and Asset Accounting skills, this role is frequently drawn upon to provide financial information for strategic purposes. You will provide support to your leadership team and peers as required, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and communication across the business unit.
Key Accountabilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial cash flow management, including assets, budgets, forecasts, trends and analysis.
- Preparation of various statistical, financial statements and reports (such as monthly KPI’s, general ledger, cash flow reports, statutory returns, balance sheets, liquidity, profit and loss, sales, capital expenditure, debtors/creditors and end of year financials).
- Manage the delivery, accuracy, and timeliness of the reporting of financial information and performance to various internal and external stakeholders.
- Preparation of financial data for submission to external accountants as required and ensuring tax and audit compliance.
- Contribute towards the development of organisational accounting and finance strategies, policies, procedures, practices and plans, considering the operating environment.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders, particularly those with significant financial accountability within the business.
- Ensure accurate financial accounting records and data integrity within the system.
- Additional support to management outside the scope of the PD as required.
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting or Business.
- CA or CPA qualified.
- Excellent understanding of best financial practices and accounting processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with staff members and build relationships with the greater business.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work in a high-pressure environment.
- Display exemplary ethical behaviour when working with confidential financial documents.
- Demonstrated interest in engineering or manufacturing operations.
- Take full ownership of this role, supporting the financial decisions of the wider business.
