Trainee Administration Assistant

Join our healthcare team at Yarrawonga Health as a Trainee Administration Assistant, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting the efficient functioning of administrative operations. This entry level position is ideal for an organised and detail-oriented professional is wanting to building their career within Administration and the Health Industry.
To apply you must be willing to commit to an 12-month traineeship. The position is most suited to school leavers who would like to continue with study and be paid to learn whilst working in a fulltime role. The position will provide paid training and office experience to achieve a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business Administration (BSB30120).
The People and Culture team is responsible for supporting Yarrawonga Health in the management of workforce and engagement. The role of Trainee Administration Assistant will support the team with duties including:
- Reception and phone duties
- Recording of customer enquiries
- Maintain filing system and archiving
- Data entry
This role will also be exposed to Marketing and Communication, Payroll, Recruitment, Volunteer Support and Learning and Development.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake a Certificate III in Business Administration (BSB30120)
Administrative Support:
- Assist with general administrative tasks, including data entry, paper and electronic filing, and document management.
- Provide support in scheduling appointments, meetings, and managing calendars.
Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact for the Yarrawonga Health Administration building
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and relay messages in a professional and timely manner.
Record Keeping:
- Assist in maintaining the filing system.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other administrative staff, healthcare professionals, and department heads to ensure seamless operations.
- Participate in training programs and stay informed about hospital policies and procedures.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Attention to detail;
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Demonstrated computer skills;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications;
- Ability and preparedness to work in and contribute to a team environment;
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships;
- Ability to apply appropriate discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality..
Desirable:
- Customer Service Experience
