Training Coordinator

Based in the Western Suburbs of Sydney, Custom Denning is currently on a very exciting journey when it comes to pioneering the way for locally manufactured electric vehicles in Australia. We are currently working very closely with the NSW government to support government infrastructure plans of transitioning NSW buses from diesel to an electric fleet by 2035.The Opportunity:We have a rare opportunity for someone to join our People & Culture Team as our Training Coordinator in a permanent part time capacity (16 hours per week which can be worked over 2 or 3 days). This role will have a sole focus of supporting our apprentices in ensuring they are having a rewarding and productive experience with us! About You:You will ideally come from a HR or Apprenticeship support provider and have a solid understanding of Apprenticeship requirements. You will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to quickly build rapport and establish meaningful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:Work closely with key internal stakeholders to coordinate and monitor the delivery of apprenticeship programs to ensure all apprentices are gaining the technical competencies required to undertake their work in a skilled, safe and effective manner.Facilitate apprentice welfare checks and performance reviews in consultation with identified stakeholders and applicable RTO’s to ensure apprenticeship is progressing to a plan.Actively advocate Apprenticeships through the coordination of community engagement initiatives and develop a network of contacts through relevant organisations (TAFE) that can support our internal apprenticeship objectives.Track the return of statements of attainment from RTO's and follow up as needed.Monitor apprenticeship progress and provide mentorship where need.Ensure that we are compliant with all relevant awards.This role will suit candidates who have a background in apprenticeship coordination/training, HR coordination or even a HR generalist looking for something a bit different.
