Reporting to the General Manager – Fleet Operations Australasia, this role will manage current training; develop and implement strategic forward-looking training plan for our offshore crew. This is a full-time permanent position based in our Perth CBD office, Western Australia. Key Responsibilities: Manage current training courses, vessel placement and client reporting for Deck/Engine Cadets. Arrange all crew expiring/outstanding/specific training. Recruit and manage new Deck Cadets/ Engine Cadets/ Trainee Integrated Rating/ Provisional Integrated Rating. Arrange travel/accommodation for training and manage costs associated with training. Update the ERP system ProPeople accordingly with training/travel days. Track/approve training forms/expenses that are submitted by crew. Track crew employment duration and recoup training costs as per EBA. Source trainers for vessel specific training i.e. ECDIS. Liaise with providers on running ‘out of schedule’ courses if needed. Efficiently roster training to minimize cost and enhance outcomes. Track medicals/training days and ensure crew are paid accordingly as per EBA. Other ad-hoc duties as required.
