We are currently recruiting a Training Manager to oversee and manage training within the organisation. Reporting to the Executive HSE Manager, the role will be responsible for oversight and support of operational training requirements; leading selected learning and development initiatives, inclusive of the development and delivery of training packages; and overseeing the continuous improvement of the training management system.
ABOUT THE ROLE
• Completion of pre-contract training documentation that requires technical training knowledge and experience e.g. Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and Training Management Plan
• Manage the training start-up process for new projects including reviewing project specific training documentation and embedding into project documentation, develop project specific training startup checklists, facilitating kick-off and subsequent start-up meetings, and lead and support project teams for an effective mobilisation
• Assist as required with the completion of training deliverables/ requirements e.g. TNAs, training matrices
• Coach project teams on project specific training requirements to ensure understanding and compliance
• As required, visit sites and conduct verification of competency (VOC) assessments as per the Company requirements, project specific TNA and Training Management Plan
• Manage and oversee the implementation and set-up of the Company training database – Competency, including delivery of training sessions
• Oversight of project and company training compliance and performance
• Conduct internal Training Audits
• Act as the conduit between Whittens Group and our affiliated RTO to enable Whittens to develop and deliver Nationally Accredited Training Courses
• Develop internal training material and manage all facets of the delivery of selected training packages/ courses remotely/ on-site and in Head Office
• Identify areas for improvement within training and incorporate them into the HSE Strategic Plans.
ABOUT YOU
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in HSE or Training role within the Civil construction industry
• Demonstrated experience working in operational HSE/T role
• Experience in providing support and coaching project teams, including site HSE personnel, to successfully implement the HSE requirements for site
• Advanced Diploma in OSH (minimum) and a Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE)
• Construction Induction Training (White Card)
• Ability to form effective working relationships with all levels of the organisation demonstrated ability to show initiative in identifying continuous improvement in training
• Ability to travel to national sites as required
