- Supporting system Implementation for front line staff across the state
The Training Officer will be part of a project team, and will collaborate with other project trainers, team members , product owners and end-users, to support the delivery and adoption of the new solution from supporting training activity, through to supporting client acceptance and transition to business. Following release, the role will provide hypercare and transition support into operations and support continuous improvement release and adoption across the agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, deliver and evaluate, training resources (and associated engagement and support activity), that delivers blended learning across on-the-job, social and formal opportunities.
- Lead the development and publishing of innovative training resources that promotes flexible and accessible learning options, to be used by staff across urban, rural and remote regions.
- Liaise and develop effective working relationships with all key stakeholders of community and education providers, including front line staff to assist with the development of appropriatetraining resources.
- Ensure stakeholders in the regions are familiar with training resources and products, through arange of strategies including being the conduit for annual conferences and forums.
- Liaise with, support and mentor area staff to ensure resource delivery is of the highestquality and resource use is of the highest uptake.
- Provide advice to Executive Management, through Project Board, on training matters that impact front line staf preparedness and operations.
- Contribute to the preparation of timely and evidence-based project, system and operational documentsin accordance with departmental requirements.
- Assist in the identification, assessing and treatment of issues, risks and solutions that may impact thesuccessful implementation of business initiatives.
- Establish and maintain strong and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders includingcross-agency representatives, consultants, and contractors, to ensure project success.
- Proactively promote an effective working culture by capturing and sharing knowledge and supporting common expectations.
- Regularly communicate and report with the project leadership and other stakeholders as per schedule or as required
Capabilities:
- At least 5 years hands-on experience with development and delivery of training resources
- Demonstrated experience in development of learning and training artefacts, such as, (but not limited to): fact sheets and knowledge-based articles, digital and e-learning modules and vignettes, face-to face training delivery (on-site and virtually).
- High level proficiency in digital literacy, and ability to create, develop, manipulate, and share learning content using various technologies.
- Applied understanding of learning and instructional design models, and the impact of change on individuals and work groups within client focused organisations.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of quality processes, products and services, as identified through activities to establish requirements for implementing change and delivering a positive customer experience.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including where demographic and location diversity exists.
- Flexibility for hours of work to meet project and stakeholder demands.
Desirable skills/requirements:
* Holds a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification (or similar).
* Knowledge of Agile delivery.
* Knowledge of Service Management and Support Management (such as ITIL).
* Able to travel intrastate when required
