Tilt Trays Australia NSW has a new opportunity for a Transport Manager to join our St Marys branch, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation operations at our St Marys branch.
This role will be crucial for ensuring the provision of transportation services to our internal and external clients through effective and efficient organisation and asset allocation while maintaining strict adherence to Safety protocols to ensure compliance with our Zero-Harm policy.
- Manage and oversee our fleet of trucks and driver schedules to ensure efficient and optimal use of the fleet.
- Maximise revenue opportunities for internal and external customers through route optimisation and driver productivity.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Utilise route optimisation software and geographic knowledge to plan the most cost-effective and timely delivery routes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, including driver fatigue regulations.
- Manage transport accreditation compliance.
- Ensure all team members are trained in all HSEQ processes.
- Provide leadership and guidance to transportation team members to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Deliver tool box talks ensuring team member attendance and compliance with SQDCM requirements.
The successful candidate will be an individual who will honour our core values of People, Safety, Respect, Communication and Continuous Improvement - in addition to this they will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (will be highly regarded).
- Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of transportation and licensing regulations in NSW.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound computer skills, including MS Office and transportation management software.
- A proven track record for exceptional customer service
- Strong commitment to safety and safe working practices.
- Valid NSW driver's license and clean driving record.
