Located in Kemps Creeks the purpose of this newly created position is to provide operational support to the daily operations of a large waste facility. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational, time management skills and a personable disposition to keep a team thriving and a desire to excel. The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to positively join a team and roll with the punches, be flexible to handle anything that might come their way and display resilience during busy periods.
Objectives of this Role
- Inspire a team of supervisors to ensure they're focused on achieving operational excellence.
- Make safety your number one priority and ensure everyone's working in a safe environment.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor and analyse operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage operational budgets, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and optimising resource allocation.
- Serve as a point of contact for escalations and resolve operational issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Proven experience leading blue-collar teams
- Experience and passion in driving a strong safety message
- Waste Management or similar industry experience and/or exposure to Industrial waste
- Computer skills - proficiency in MS Office suite
- Teamwork - work across multiple departments and build relationships
- Ability to resolve problems effectively and effectively
