About the role
The role will provide significant support to the commercial management of the broader business and will be a key interface between the finance function and operations on site. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will be responsible for the financial management and reporting of the operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cash management and forecasting strategies in place to ensure cash optimisation
- Investment management including short term investments, certificates of deposit and money market funds
- Debt management including loans, bonds and line of credit and the evaluation of financing options and structures to minimise borrowing costs and optimise capital structure
- Overseeing treasury operations processes such as cash disbursements, wire transfers and bank reconciliations
- Implementation of controls and procedures to safeguard assets and prevent fraud
- Liaising with funds management and capital markets teams to calculate and pay distributions.
- Calculating and reporting unit price across a number of funds
- Working with compliance functions to ensure compliance with AFSL and internal deadlines.
Ideally the successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting or a related field.
- CA or CPA qualified.
- Experience working in the agricultural sector will be highly regarded.
- Flexible and adaptable to a changing environment.
