What are we looking for?
Here at PowerPlay we are looking for PowerPlay Tack Managers and Team Venue Managers - individuals who thrive in a small team and adopt the PowerPlay culture of going above and beyond. Some of the qualities we are looking for are:

- Proven experience in retail or hospitality roles and a love for interacting with a range of customers - kids, teens and adults, everyone seems to love PowerPlay no matter their age.
- Some decent computer skills and technical know-how, we’ve got some cool booking and race software. We are a team, so if it isn't in your toolkit, we will figure it out.
- First Aid Level 2 is ideal, some people play hard. We can point you in the right direction if you don’t have it, it’s easy to get.
- An ability to work hours where the fun really happens, nights and weekends.
- A desire to succeed and have FUN at the same time.

- The ability to help make each shift awesome by going above and beyond to ensure our guests have an amazing experience.
What is the Venue Manager Role?
Hours: 38
As a PowerPlay Venue Manager your main role is to lead from the front and make sure every shift is awesome. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our venue on the whole. You will facilitate our FUN and exciting environment for our guests by leading a team of amazing employees and maintaining the PowerPlay Team culture that makes the experience as a PowerPlay employee great. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing daily operations and managing staff.
- Coordinating rosters.
- Implementing our training program.
- Ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained.
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Front of House operations as well as working knowledge of Track Operations.
- Generally answering customer’s questions and queries. Basically, being a walking PowerPlay encyclopedia – the website has all our information so it’s not that hard.
- Making decisions on the run that maintain a FUN environment for all of our customers and the PowerPlay TEAM.
- Ensuring our venue operation and activities are always presented at their best. A bit of cleaning in the downtime keeps things nice and shiny.
- Work alongside and communicate with the Track Manager as a TEAM to ensure that customers have the best PowerPlay experience we have to offer.
What is the Track Manager Role?
Hours: 32+
As a PowerPlay Track Manager, you are in control of all the FUN bits, the two-level racetrack and the amazing electric Go Karts. Your main role is make sure every shift is awesome out on Track. SAFETY and FUN are your priorities alongside maintaining the condition and performance of our karts. The Driver Zone, Pit Area and Racetrack are your domain and under your direction during your shift. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Making sure everyone, including both staff and customers, is following the rules to keep everyone safe and smiling – it’s about FUN, FAIR and SAFE racing.
- Generally answering customer’s questions and queries. – “how do I go faster?“ will be a question you’ll become good at answering.
- Offering advice, a bit of coaching and direction to help our customers reach their potential. Watch the smiles increase as they lower their lap times.
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Track and Kart Maintenance Operations.
- Simple tasks such as helping people to put helmets on and getting them safely strapped in are two basic tasks that require the utmost attention to detail. We weren’t kidding when we said SAFETY is our priority.
- Maintaining a high standard by leading our training program and ensuring all staff are following the processes and procedures in place.
- Ensuring our karts are frequently serviced and maintained.
- Ordering spare kart parts and stock from suppliers and following up on any highlighted kart issues.
- Work alongside and communicate with the Venue Manager as a TEAM to ensure that customers have the best PowerPlay experience we have to offer.
