The company:This well-known and trusted national distributor of wiring accessories, home automation and LV switchgear is seeking an experienced State Manager to lead the sales team to maintain and expand their market presence, creating lasting relationships with key customers and achieving outstanding results.
The position:
As the WA State Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the growth and development of the business in Western Australia. Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for crafting and executing the sales plan to ensure sustainable growth in the region.
Duties include:
- Collaborate with the National Sales Manager to develop and implement the WA sales plan, ensuring alignment with business and marketing goals.
- Lead and mentor the sales team, fostering an environment of open and ongoing communication and productive sales meetings, ensuring they meet sales and margin targets.
- Skillfully execute pricing and margin strategies, effectively managing profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
- Actively engage with industry associations, promotions, and key customer relationships, elevating the company's profile and influence in the market.
- Regularly appraise all sales staff to formulate training plans and succession planning.
- Training, monitoring and use of CRM system.
Your key skills and competencies will include:
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or an Electrical trade qualification is preferred.
- Established connections with Tier 2 & 3 contractors.
- Demonstrated experience at a senior level in achieving sales targets including a track record of winning and maintaining new business accounts.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain long-term profitable relationships across various levels of customer organisations.
- Strong planning and implementation skills to ensure planned outcomes are achieved.
- Excellent leadership and coaching abilities to motivate and develop the sales team.
