About the Role
As a Ward Clerk, you are responsible for providing professional support and assistance to all customers within the Perioperative departments and visitors.
Key responsibilities of this job include:
Work alongside multidisciplinary medical staff, colleagues, and visitors to ensure outstanding customer service
Managing incoming and outgoing calls to the ward promptly and courteously
Meet deadlines with data entry
Organise repairs and replacements of specialised equipment
Maintain pathology stock
Ordering of prosthesis
Ordering of stationary items and distribution
Scanning of theatre sheets
Archiving of medical records
Minute taking
Liaising with multiple doctors surgeries (eg obtain MBS item numbers)
Entering theatre data into patient admission system
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be an effective communicator with high-level interpersonal skills and a passion for customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will have exceptional time management skills, meet deadlines within expected timeframes and have the ability to manage conflicting priorities. You will also have the ability to work within a team and independently as required.
You will also demonstrate;
Proven organisational skills and a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
Previous experience in medical administration is desirable
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft computer skills
Experience with patient management systems will be highly regarded
To be able to proactivity take direction

About the Organisation
The 151 bed private hospital operated by Australia's largest private hospital operator, Ramsay Health Care, is set in the heart of Wollongong's Medical Precinct adjacent to the Wollongong Public Hospital. Requirements
Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
