Key Responsibilities of the role
Logistics
- Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organisation to improve operational and financial performance.
- Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
- Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers, ensuring efficient delivery of products.
- Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunities.
Warehouse & Stock Management
- Ensure the warehouse operates efficiently, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.
- Ensure physical and system inventory accuracy and manage stock movements with sales and purchasing.
- Provide meaningful logistics data to other in the organization to aid customer service and cost improvements.
- Ensure IT systems in place are effective, maintained, and accurate.
- Ensure metrics, reports, and process documentation is available.
The ideal candidate will have:
To be successful in this role you will require the following, attributes and skills:
- A minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics and warehouse management
- Proven ability to manage budgets and rosters.
- Proven ability to lead a team to success including skills development and career development.
- Proven ability to prioritise and focus on the key requirements of the position.
Having the following certificates would be viewed favourably:
- TLI30319 Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations
- TLI40619 Certificate IV in Warehousing Operations
- TLI50221 Diploma of Logistics
- Bachelor of Business (Logistics and Supply Chain Management)
