These Values are incorporated into all aspects of employment at the City. Based at the Millar Road Landfill and Recycling Facility, you will be responsible for receiving and securing income at the weighbridge control office, and providing administrative support. This role offers extensive customer contact as you will be part of the dedicated and busy team that responds to weighbridge and general customer enquiries, including the accurate classification of waste received at the facility.
Sound interpersonal and public relations skills are essential for this busy role. Previous experience in a cash handling environment (receipting, balancing and preparing banking of monies) is required. You will have good computer literacy, especially in the Microsoft Office suite, and a willingness to learn software specific to this role.
An understanding of waste acceptance criteria would be advantageous. The weighbridge team operates on a roster to ensure that services are available at the facility seven days per week. Hours will be 9.5 hours per day (exclusive of a 30-minute unpaid meal break) and there is a requirement to work every second Saturday and Sunday.
A roster applies to this role and you must be available to work weekends and public holidays when rostered to do so. Previous Mandalay weighbridge software experience is desirable.
