This leading privately owned Australian client who provides premium quality products throughout Australia is looking to hire a driven and enthusiastic WHSE Coordinator to join their team. Our client’s goal is to provide their customers with the highest quality products and excellent service.
This Role;
- Develop, coordinate and implement preventative strategies, WHS policies and procedures
- Provide direction, leadership and advice to the WHS Committee
- Coordinate emergency response measures including fire, dangerous goods, hazardous substances, first aid and evacuation
- Develop, implement and review a hazard/risk identification assessment and control program
- Identify WHS training needs and coordinate/conduct WHS training (including inductions where required)
- Review all hazard, incident and accident information and make recommendations
- Be involved in workplace inspections, hazard, incident and accident investigations
- Conduct regular audits of the Safety Management System to continuously improve
- Collate and analyse hazard, incident and accident data and provide regular reports on performance to management
- Conduct health and safety promotional campaigns
- Manage and coordinate the rehabilitation of injured workers, where required
About you;
- Tertiary qualifications (Minimum Cert IV) in WHS/EMS or related industry experience and training
- Ability to use Microsoft Office
- Excellent people skills, mathematical and communication skills, both written and oral
- Knowledge of Australian Standards AS4801 or ISO 45001/14001 (WHS Management Systems/Environmental Management Systems)
- Excellent leadership skills incorporating
- Ability to liaise with external stakeholders in a professional and confident manner
- Ability to make decisions efficiently
- Must be a Permanent Resident/Australian Citizen
- Full drivers license
