About the Project and the role:Acciona Construction has been awarded the contract to design and construct the Singleton Bypass which is an essential piece of infrastructure that will shape the Hunter Region. In order for us to achieve our goal of creating a legacy by making a positive impact on the communityWe have set targets that we want to achieve around local employment, workforce training and development, diversity as well as Social Procurement.As the Workforce Development and Social Outcomes Advisor, reporting to the Project Director, you will be instrumental in creating strategies and implementing them to ensure we achieve our targets.Key Responsibilities of the role are:

• Build strong internal and external with industry participation groups to achieve our targets and outcomes on the project
• Develop a deep understanding of our social outcomes and drive initiatives to achieve them.
• Deliver in house training when required and propose, coordinate & book necessary training requirements for the project through suppliers and the training academies
• Coordinate initiatives for work experience placements, apprentices, and graduate placements.
• Track the return of statements of attainment from RTO's and follow up as needed.
• Maintain training records to ensure staff are compliant with site requirements
• Interpret data from Performance Reviews to identify training gaps
• Identify and implement strategies to achieve employment targets.
• Engage and build a close working relationship with local community, job access providers, local business, and local government on training and employment opportunities and benefits
• Working with other State and Commonwealth Government agencies to access resources and support to achieve the targets.
• Record the relevant participation and employment data on daily basis for collation at end of month reporting

Required Skills and CompetenciesCapabilities and Experience we are looking for:

• Ideally you will come from a similar role with proven experience in achieving Workforce Development and Social outcomes
• Experience in RTO or Community Services/Employment is desirable
• Experience in delivering training to a diverse group of stakeholders using varying methods of delivery
• Have excellent communication and a desire to make a positive impact
