The City’s Waste and Cleansing Business unit team is seeking to appoint an experienced and highly skilled Works Controller to assist in the delivery of the City’s Waste, Cleansing and sustainability activities. This position supports the Waste Management Team Leader in the provision of an efficient and responsive service to the community. You will assist the Waste Management Team Leader with the coordination of all waste services and City cleansing operations. This position is responsible for the organisation and motivation of waste crews, to ensure that they complete all waste works in accordance with specifications/standards, and that they are completed on time, on budget, whilst maintaining a safe working environment for all Key responsibilities include:You will: · Oversee City cleansing, residential and commercial waste contracts and service delivery ensuring excellent City-wide presentation and service. · Assist the Waste Management Team Leader with the improvement and implementation of waste service’s business plan, budget control and change management processes. · Operate all vehicles, plant, and equipment within waste services as directed by the Waste Management Team Leader. To succeed in this role, you will hold a current HR licence and you will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skill and be able to influence others, along with demonstrated time management skills.
