As part of the Transport Team, you will utilise your civil construction knowledge, working within a high-performing team and with external contractors to deliver the transport Works Program for urban and rural roads, piped stormwater drainage, culverts, footpaths and cycleways in a safe cost effective and environmentally sustainable manner. Best practice and innovation is sort to achieve best outcome for the community.
The position will involve a variety of maintenance programs such as road resurfacing and other specific works, the upkeep of shared paths, kerb and gutter, bridges, stormwater drainage in urban and rural areas and works for external stakeholders. This is a busy and varied role and that would suit someone who has strong communication skills, with an ability to liaise, negotiate and effectively resolve conflicts and reconcile competing interests.
