Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Panel and Paint Workshop Manager to join our dynamic team of 3. As one of 3 Workshop Managers, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing our panel and or paint department, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the entire division. Your leadership, technical expertise, and strong industry knowledge will be crucial in driving the success of our operations and delivering exceptional results.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of panel beaters, spray painters, and other technical staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the highest quality of workmanship.
- Plan, schedule, and allocate resources to ensure optimal workflow management and productivity, meeting set deadlines and targets.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate and streamline operations, ensuring smooth flow of work and effective communication channels.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes, ensuring repairs and paintwork meet industry standards, customer expectations and adhere to relevant regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels, order necessary supplies and maintain accurate records to facilitate smooth operations.
- Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and best practices, actively seeking opportunities for process improvements and staff skill development.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment, promoting teamwork, safety, and constant learning.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a managerial role within the panel and paint industry.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of panel beating, automotive paint systems, and repair techniques.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
