The Workspace Support Senior Technical Officer is responsible for supporting the efficient and effective operation of the desktop environment, core and relevant office business applications and related ICT infrastructure. The position involves onsite and remote support for the Local Health Districts.
The Workspace Support Senior Technical Officer will also provide support with installation, configuration and provide resolution for tickets that are logged via Service Desk for the LHN Desktop Environment. This may include the management of services provided by external organisations either on premise, in the cloud or other locations. The position will contribute to the governance and decision making of workspace Support Services.
The position will support the principles of collaboration, openness, respect and empowerment.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service.
A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements.
In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.
Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in a large organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting hardware and software lifecycle management, mobile device management, and print management.

- Proactively prioritises and manages own workload (and time) and assists other team members where and when required. Takes initiative to provide feedback on improving existing services and processes.
- Experience drafting and testing technical documentation and FAQs for both technical staff and clients.
- Proven experience in the understanding of incident management, problem management, change management, and risk management.
- Demonstrated Analytical and problem solving skills including, the ability to provide advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, verbal and written skills and demonstrated ability to consult, influence and negotiate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
