- Does a flexible role with varied hours based on your needs sound great?
- Are you looking for a fun team environment?
- Does a light filled space with ample resources that is close to the beach make you happy?
- Would you like loads of training and support OR to share your knowledge and skills with those around you?
KIDS SPOT have recently relocated to a new location and are excited to share the space with you!
We are looking for a full time or part time Speech Pathologist to join our vibrant and supportive team.
The role is flexible in terms of hours and days and includes one day at a local school within walking distance of the clinic.
Ideally we’d love a clinician with some experience but will consider a new graduate if it’s the right fit.
I (Julia) have been a Speech Pathologist for over 21 years, and 2024 marks 11 years of owning and leading the awesome team at Kids Spot. I started with 2 therapists who are still with us today, and now the team is a group of 8 fun, engaged and devoted Speech Pathologists, AHA's and a family care team. This year we are also looking to include a psychologist and nutritionist as part of our team to better support the families we work with.
I’ve always believed that the team I work with are incredibly important. Supporting and nurturing them is my purpose. I’ve learnt a lot along the way in business and have seen the industry change A LOT!
The landscape of Speech Pathology and Allied Health has changed significantly. Some companies/clinics are offering astronomical money, but I often wonder: what are the expectations for caseload? How much support is really provided if this is the money that needs to be made? How can a team member truly settle into a role without drowning and ultimately burning out? Time and time again, quality Speech Pathologists are burning out and leaving the profession. Why?
I believe support, having fun and nurturing growth are the keys to growing a happy and fulfilled team. If you’re going to spend up to 40 hours a week at work, you may as well love the people you work with and be able to laugh a lot along the way. Of course, you want to earn a decent wage, and you’ll definitely get that with us; I know what it’s like paying Sydney prices!
So, if a growing team who are authentic, fun, curious and seriously playful sounds exciting to you, then read on.
On to some of the details:
