Job Description: The role of the First Nations Trainee Administration Officer is provided through DXC's First Nations people employment program to provide dedicated support to case managers in maintaining a registry of certificates, processing invoices, appointment management and any ad-hoc business needs to ensure the success of the business.
These positions and designed provide employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Position: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Trainee position as Claims Support Officer/s (administration)
Note: it is NOT a pre-requisite that you have prior skills in the areas detailed above as you will receive training in these as part of the DXC First Nations Program.
Highly skilled instructors from DXC Technology’s Training Academy will deliver a two-week on-the-job job skills training package that will give individualised support training and education for you to carry out the duties of a Claims Support Officer.

- High level of data entry and keyboard skills
- Competent with all Microsoft Office packages (including excel)
- Working in an environment requiring the application of confidentiality and discretion
- Communication skills in both written and verbal
- Customer Service skills with internal stake holders

Location: During the initial training period you will be required to work on-site at DXC’s Macquarie Park office.
These roles offer hybrid working opportunities. Once trained you will be required to work in the DXC Macquarie Park office. This will be determined on a case by case basis by the DXC Team Lead to eventually implement a flexible working arrangement.
Hours: Monday -Friday Between 8.30am-5pm contracted for 7.5 hrs per day.
Training: 4 weeks
- 2 days with First Nations Consultant for Untapped onboarding
- Ongoing on-site DXC Training Academy at DXC Technology Macquarie Park
- Go Live in role with specialised on-the-job support.

In addition, this person will also educate, train your co-workers and leaders through a series of cultural awareness training sessions, and provide on-going support.
This opportunity will create a career pathway and develop our First Nations peoples through genuine job awareness, self-determination, and transition. This is a commitment to our reconciliation action plan through action in motion and working in conjunction with DXC’s Social Impact Practice (SIP) First Nation Employees will be enabled and supported to create their own story within this role.
