About your role

This isn’t your typical Account Manager role!

We are looking for an Account Manager, ready to be responsible for the ownership and growth of Wholesaler and Key Accounts within our Independent Pet Specialty accounts. This includes building business plans and P&L management.

Collaborating with a passionate team, this position plays an active role both internally and externally for your customers, focused on offering exceptional customer service. 
  
You will work as a Pack with the National Business Manager and various cross functional teams including Marketing, Category, Supply & eCommerce to execute activities to achieve our overarching business vision and objectives.

What you'll do

  • Account Manage selected client with a clear growth roadmap leveraging our current and NPD range in line with their planning cycles
  • Management of sales and profitability performance of your key account ensuring all key targets are met
  • Manage customer administration requirements including claim management & processing using our software Blueshift
  • Lead forecasting and spend management including sales analysis tools such as PowerBI or IRI
  • Support New Product Presentations/ Submissions Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Liaise with internal field team to support execution of customer plans
  • Manage promotional tracking and ROI analysis 

What will help you succeed
  • Proven experience and success in roles such as Account Manager (or other sales roles), Category Analyst or similar
  • Excellent communication and demonstrated problem-solving capability
  • Financial acumen to understand forecast and budget as context for managing performance
  • An entrepreneurial approach and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • A curious and analytical mindset, able to draw insights from data. 
  • Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity with an appetite to grow and develop in a fast-growing organisation
  • A personable individual with the ability to build strong relationships, not only with customers but understanding the value of working as a pack
Nice to have but not essential
  • Experience within Pet Specialty or Animal Health Industry is highly regarded
  • Knowledge and exposure to FMCG industries preferred but not required
