Account Manager (VIC)
Sales, New Business Acquisition, Account Management.

We are a supplier of building products to the Australian market. With focus on supplying specialised cladding solutions to the construction market with innovative products and solutions through a range of supply channels, the company is experiencing fast growth within the construction market, supplying many of Australia’s largest builders.
With the Head Office based in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne, the company is growing nationally and is looking for another highly motivated sales professional to join the Victorian team.
We are looking for successful and confident sales person that has experience recently working with builders in a sales position. They will be successful in acquiring new business via cold calling, phone calls and site visits, etc. as well as grow current accounts with a focus on the North and Western suburbs and growth corridors.
By joining the team to grow the Victorian residential/medium density market, you will utilise your relationships within the construction market, including:
- Tier 1-3 residential and multi-res builders
- Contract administrators, procurement and key decision makers
- Cold calls, site visits, relationship building and call cycles
You will be required to manage a diverse range of sales channels to grow the market within your region and use your technical and relationship management to build a trusted brand within the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grow the Victorian market with your industry contacts in the residential market (focus on the North and Western suburbs)
- New client acquisition, via industry contacts, current account base and cold calling
- Strategic business development with end users
- Manage and grow existing customer base
- Understand the sales process from specification through to installation.
- Able to adapt and present to key stake holders in different sectors, such as estimators, site managers, installers and senior management.
About You
Being a natural sales professional in the construction industry, you are highly regarded with your contacts, which will successfully grow the sales numbers throughout Victoria. You are not afraid to knock on doors and cold call on new potential customers as well as follow up warm leads. You have experience and contacts with Tier 1-3 builders in the multi-residential, duplex, semi-detached, and detached housing markets.
You will be technically savvy with building products, and have a good understanding of the building market, Although you will be trained in the products, your exceptional sales skills will be very important for sales growth. You are a hunter and have the drive and passion to exceed your targets and goals. Reporting to the National Sales and Marketing Manager, and working closely with the other team members you will also have exceptional reporting skills, including forecasting, sales reports, and market updates.
Key Skills:
- Experience in generating new business and growth through industry contacts, acquisition, and current client base in the North and Western suburbs and growth corridors of Victoria
- Experience and able to cold call.
- Experience in the construction and building markets.
- Experience and contacts with multi-residential, duplex, semi-detached, and detached builders and developers.
- Able to report and keep records to company polices and requirements.
- Able to utilise internally developed CRM and be digitally savvy.
- Passion to grow your territory.
