Accountant wanted on the Gold Coast!

Your new company

You will be working with a Property Developer based on the Gold Coast. The team now require an Accountant to join their dynamic team.

Your new role

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Experienced in using Accounting Software including MYOB AccountRight, Xero and Quickbooks
• Experienced in preparing basic financial reports and management reports
• Experienced in preparing cashflow forecast, master budget, flexible budget and variance analysis
• Knowledge of legislation and rulings for relevant area of tax, such as Income tax, GST, Property tax, Stamp Duty, Payroll tax
• Basic knowledge for Corporations Act
• Experienced in preparing and lodgement of periodic ATO required reports and form (BAS, PAYG, Superannuation)
• Experienced in communicating with ATO, ASIC, State Revenue and/or other regulatory.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Myob.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
