About the role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accountant is responsible for various accounting activities across The Bays Hospital. This includes managing the inputs and the reporting of financial information for the Hospital. This is a great permanent full-time opportunity that will be based in Mornington on a hybrid working model. The key responsibilities include:
- Bank reconciliation, cash flow management and forecasting
- Assist with month end, year-end, and statutory reporting including budgets and variance analysis
- Business partnering with the executive and senior management team to monitor Hospital performance
- Prepare and submit the monthly business activity statement to the Australian Taxation Office
- Routine review and reconciliation of fundraising revenue
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
About you
We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
- Formal accounting or related business qualification
- Minimum 5 years accounting experience, ideally within the Healthcare sector
- Experience in preparing month and year end reporting
- Experience with business accounting systems (Pronto would be advantageous)
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to build effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- High attention to detail and accuracy
