About the Company:

CBS International Trading Company Pty Ltd is a proud Australian food company specializing in both Infant Formula together with whole of life nutritional powders in a range of packaging options from varying size cans, through to a range of sachet options. The manufacturing plant is based in Dandenong South and is registered with the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources for export to all countries and with Dairy Food Safety Victoria for domestic sales. There is a fully operational Quality Management System in place accredited by Standard Australia International. There is a very strong quality culture within the company supported by all manufacturing and management staff.

The Role:

An opportunity exists for a dynamic and highly organized English/Mandarin fluent person to fill the Accountant role. This role provides comprehensive finance and accounting supports to the management, staff and customers of CBS International.  We are looking for candidate, who has the following attributes:

·       Strong communication and influencing skills and be both energetic and engaging with a strong commercial focus.

·       Excellent business acumen with an understanding of profit management, business planning, delivering on performance and revenue targets and implementing clear strategies.

·       Strong organisational or management skills.

·       Fluent in English and Mandarin/Cantonese.

·       Have experience with MYOB accounting packages.

·       Have sound IT skills.

·       At least a bachelor degree in accounting.

·       At least three years post-qualification work experience as accountant.  

·       Hold a current Victoria Drivers Licence.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

·        Utilise and implement MYOB Advanced to manage and oversee financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

·        Generate financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial health and performance.

·        Streamline accounting processes using automated features within MYOB Advanced to match and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

·        Collaborate with departmental managers to establish and formulate budgetary and accounting policies for the company, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.

·        Prepares periodical financial statements and reports to the company directors, external auditor/tax agent and ATO.

·        Integrate MYOB Advanced with other modules and streamline data flow such as inventory management, sales, and purchase orders, to provide a holistic view of the business operations.

·        Evaluates the risks and return ratio for ongoing and future business operations. 

·        Provides high level supports and strategic commercial guidance for business administration, strategic business planning and ongoing business operations.

·        Scrutinises operating costs to monitor and control expenditures.

·        Investigates and resolves accounting discrepancies to ensure accuracy of information contained in financial reports and compliance with statutory obligations.

·        Generate financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial health and performance.

·        Prepare and lodge BASs.

·        Liaises with external auditor/tax agent to prepare and lodge company tax returns.

·        Maintains accounting software to ensure proper accounting recording system.

·        Support ERP systems implementation and improvements.

·        Monitors financial performance against the determined targets.

·        Monitors account receivables and payables to ensure healthy turnover and profit margin.

·        Regularly reviewing and enhancing control procedures, conducting internal audits, and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to strengthen the overall control environment.

·        Analyses the cash-flow and financial position of the company.

·        Administrative tasks related to Payroll and Human Resources.
