About the role
The Accounting Lead ensures the business is well positioned through:
- Progressive financial reporting systems including working in partnership with stakeholders to assist efficient financial reporting processes both monthly and annually.
- Overseeing timely payments and integrity of internal controls relating to accounts payable.
- Ensuring ongoingreview of systems policies and procedures in accordance with accounting standards, Financial Reporting Directions, and the Corporation’s needs.
- Assisting in ensuring accounting records facilitate sound financial management of the Corporation.
As a Lead, you will motivate and mentor the accounting team to ensure obligations and goals are achieved effectively and efficiently.
This role is a full-time, ongoing opportunity including a monthly RDO and flexible work options.

Key Selection Criteria
- Formal qualification in accounting or business, or progression towards completion of degree, with demonstrated experience in a financial environment.
- Experience preparing financial statements for management reporting and external financial audit requirements.
- Ability to demonstrate experience of key financial processes, including general ledger reconciliations, monthly and year end reporting.
- Experience in the water industry or ‘Not for Profit’ sector is highly desirable along with interpretation of accounting standards as they relate to financial reporting.
- Experience leading, motivating, mentoring and/or managing a team.

Position Information
- An attractive salary range of $90,574 to $100,709 plus 11% superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
- This is a full time, ongoing position.
