The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Officer to join our Finance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for raising invoices and bills, reporting financial data, as well as ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial transactions. The Accounting Officer will report to and work closely with the Group Accountant to provide financial support to the organisation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Raise purchase order, invoices
- Process invoices/bills in a timely and accurate manner
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Follow up with creditors to ensure prompt payment of outstanding bills.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues with invoices or payments.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of vendor payments and other financial documents.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Input plan date for bills
- Data entry
- Send remittance advice to creditors.
- Create and update creditors information.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Positive attitude
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent time management & organisational skills
- Certificate IV in Accounting or bookkeeping
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable and receivables (preferably in health care services)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a Team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Xero Accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
