Company Background
Our client has an impressive record of growth over the past few years. While some of their competitors have struggled, their commitment to top quality work, and taking the time to get things right, has led to ongoing success. This growth has created the need for an Accounts Administrator to support the external Accountant and Operations Manager with the day-to-day invoicing and scheduled reporting for the business.
They are a small, but very friendly team of professionals. You would enjoy that close-knit, collaborative feel of a smaller business. They expect the team to be in the office to be able to collaborate on the progress of jobs and what needs to be done.
The Role
This Accounts role has a broad range of tasks. They can add more or less to create either a full-time or part-time role. This could be three to five days a week.
Tasks may include:
- Track project-specific costs and produce detailed budget reports
- Handle project progress claims and determine the percentage of work completed
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Review invoices and purchase orders and make timely payments
Reconcile financial statements and bank accounts - Work alongside the Director, Operations Manager, and Site supervisors to manage costs
- Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting activities
Payroll and associated payments - Ensuring timesheets have all been completed timely
Your Background
We are looking for tenured Assistant Accountants or Bookkeepers who have worked in a project-related industry before.
You will have/be:
- At least 5 years of accounting experience. This will include AR, AP, Payroll and project invoicing.
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work autonomously in a small office
- A problem solver
- Someone with a calm, friendly disposition who is happy to help out wherever the team needs!
If you have worked in construction and/or have Xero experience the client may be able to stretch the salary for the perfect person!
